THE
CD Library! and THE CD Library Group Server!
What is it?
THE CD
Library! (with emphasis on 'THE'), is a complete
solution to storing and retrieving your CD collection. It is designed to work
with Dacal, ZeoTek and BesTrade
THE CD
Library! is FREEWARE and it is designed to run on ANY
version of Microsoft Windows including Microsoft Vista. Well, it does not run
well on Windows 7 yet.
The database
used is a Microsoft Access database so there is nothing proprietary and nothing
is hidden.
THE CD Library! will index your data files as well as retrieve track
information from the FreeDB CD Database using your
Internet connection. You can listen to your audio CD (CDA files). Planned for a
future release will be the ability to play your mp3, wav, wma, mp4, m4a and ogg audio files, (mp4, m4a and ogg
will require the download of a third party audio codec).
You can scan your CD
inserts, copy and paste CD images into the lower right pane of the library.
There are so many things you can do and many options are available for you to
make using THE CD Library! easy and in a manner that
works just for you.
Freeware! No nag screens, no
restrictions! Fully functional! No manual. Sorry, you are on your own but it is
fairly easy to use and very complete.
You can download Version 3.1
of THE CD Library! which allows access to THE CD
Library Group Server below. (Via FTP). Version
2.0.3.2+ adds the ability to export your data in Excel, Word, HTML and other
formats!
Version 3 Supporting the Dacal PowerDrive is Available
NOW!
THE CD Library! V3.X now has
support for the Dacal PowerDrive.
All of the functions of the PowerDrive are supported!
IMPORTANT! When upgrading to this latest 3.X
version, you MUST run the CDLibUpdater.exe application to update your
database. The application is installed by default by the setup program. After
installation you are afforded the opportunity to run it.
It is imperative that you do so!
